Before I dive straight in and tell you whats on my non iPod I’ll explain my intentions.
I don’t own an iPod and probably never will. I don’t like being tied into programs to listen to my own music and before you even go down that road it’s all mine. I paid for it. On CD, not a download in sight. Call me a luddite but I like to have a physical copy in all it’s glory taking up cupboard space. At the very least I like the artwork (for al those that like smutty stuff I can recommend Jimi Hendrix’s Electric Ladyland).
What was I going on about. Ah yes, I’ve owned an Archos AV420 ( www.archos.com ) for 2 years and it beats iPods hands down, just drag and drop the folder and it updates itself pure heaven. It’s done a fair few miles with me and has kept me entertained with the films on it. Perfect.
Bin that iPod and buy that Archos. It’ll change your life!
