It’s been a while since I last took the time out to put together a little post but the reason is simple….sleep or lack of it to be exact. The little street urchin has taken to only going to sleep when it’s a full moon or something, she’s got a healthy set of lungs and isn’t afraid to use them followed by only going to sleep on either mine or H’s chest. Not much use for me to get some shut eye.
It’s time to be brutal and after a little experiment it seems to be a good start. We’ve had here crying her little eyes out so much that there are tears and let me tell you that hurts. but given the methodical approach she seems to be wailing for an hour or so and then finally going to sleep. last night she didn’t even wake up at 1am for a screech and a feed so it proves she’s just doing it to annoy me!

In my endeavours to bring sustainable computing to the house I’ve signed up to Writely and this is the first effort. So far so good, it’s the simple word processing type of application that I’ll need at home.
Just through personal desire I thought that I’d like to see how low I could go, not in terms of depravity but in terms of the fine cut i could make in computing. Currently the home has been transferred to a Ubuntu set up and I wondered how easy it would be to have a PeeCee with only a web browser and usb support for data storage.
As someone who isn’t really in the know about these things I’m not sure what it is I need so first off is the spec. I’ll come to that in a later post. For now I think thats enough typing for this test
